Can you spot yourself or someone who you know in our Ride the Lights 2017 photos? Share this with them if you do!

Ride the Lights is the fabulous, car free preview night of the Blackpool Illuminations.

It takes place the week before Switch On, when the promenade is closed to traffic and tens of thousands of you enjoy riding just exactly where you like.

This year we saw Superheroes, the Pope and a nun, Father Christmas and unicorns!

An illuminated convoy of a rocket, dodgem and a log-flume car glided down the promenade, and did you spot the Sinclair C5? (Are you old enough to remember the Sinclair C5!)

Scott and Hayley and the Radio Wave Roadshow entertained you on Tower Festival Headland, with music and entertainment provided by local singers.

Lots of you were dressed up in fun, fancy clothes. Many more of you were lit up – with lights on your bikes and on yourselves too!

Illuminated Trams in Ride the Lights 2017 Photos

Did you see the three beautiful Illuminated Trams this year?

The HMS Blackpool the Frigate, the Fisherman’s Friend Trawler and the Western Train were out ferrying you up and down the promenade throughout the evening. What a way to see the lights!

It’s a fantastic, fun night to mark the end of the school holidays and the beginning of the Blackpool Illuminations season.
